The weeping cherry tree of Myouyuji is one of the most famous tree and the diameter of trunk would be 2.45m and the height of tree would be more than 17m. According to the temple, it is said that this tree was moved from Kuonji Minobesan in Yamanashi prefecture.
There is another famous weeping cherry tree of Jyokouji in Obama city, but the circumstance of the one of Jyoukouji is not so good as it places beside the national highway and it is nearly dying. The weeping cherry tree of Myouyuji would be only one which decorates spring of Obama city.
