It is said that Hie shrine was founded in Tenpeihou 5 (761) and it is located in Taranosho where belongs to the territory of Touji. And the main hall would be re-built every 200 years each, according to an origin of the shrine.

The existing main hall is considered to be re-built in Kanei 13 (1636) and it is Ikkensyanagaredukuri and Hiwada roofing. It has the praying place in front and it is 2.42m wide and 2.53m deep. Moya is divided into 2 rooms, one is Shinza and another is Shitsu. Kashiranukibana, Kaerumata and an engraving of Gohaikibana are old styled. The praying place is united to the main hall, as roof comes down straightly to the praying place. It would be rather newer than the main hall because of decorations but these decorations are suit so well. It is the calm building which is representative of buildings of Modern times in Wakasa province.
