Tadaji is the Shingon sect temple which was built by the order of Kouken emperor, Syougyou was the founder of the temple, and the statue of Yakushinyorai (the main object of worship, the national cultural property) has been faithful as "Tadanoyakushi".

The main hall was re-built in Bunka 4(1807) and made with Irimoyadukuri and tile-roofing. It is 13.33m wide and 12.73m deep and has a 1.8m wide of Kouhai and the veranda around the hall. There is a Raido(1.8m wide and 1.8m deep) in front of inner hall(5.4m wide and 5.4m deep) and the eaves(1.8m wide) go around inner hall. The ceiling of inner hall is higher than other ceiling. The technique of architecture which erases the pillars around inner hall is used to make the room larger.

This building is seem to be the developed architecture, comparing with Hagaji, in the building of esoteric Buddhism. It is a good example which details are quite modern in esoteric Buddhism in modern times.
