Motomitsu Takeda was born as the son of Motonobu Takeda, the protector of Wakasa province. He inherited in Daiei 1(1521) after his father's death and built houses on Nochise Mountain and also moved Syugo house and built the foundation of Sengoku Daimyo.

The priod of his service, there were many battled occured in not only Wakasa province but also anywhere. He shaved his head and named Daizen Dayuu Nyudo Munekatsu and retired in Hosshinji. However, he still handled the real power. He passed away in Tenbun 20(1551) and was buried behind the Hosshinji.

There is the wooden statue of Motomitsu wearing a Houe. It seems to be young. The clothes is very similar to the clothes which kept in the temple. It is presumed to be made after he died.

According to "Syusuizatsuwa", it says that Ungaiji was the mountain house of Suunji. The chief priest was the brother of Motomitsu. It is now almost collapsed. There is a hut beside the temple and a wooden statue is located inside. It is the statue of Motomitsu. It was moved to Hosshinji in Genroku era.

It is the only wooden statue of Takeda family and 59.0cm in height. It is considered to be made in Muromachi period.
