The Kuinji which has this gate is the Sakai family's temple and Tadanao Sakai, the second feudal lord of Obama Han, donated to build solemn temple at the Buddhist service after his father, Tadakatsu, died. That service was held in Kanbun 8(1668) and the gate was also built at same year. However, other buildings were suffered from fires and collapsed. The gate is the only building which left nowadays. But it is not where it used to be, it has been moved recently.

The gate is made with zelkova trees and roofing it Kiridumakawarabuki. Kaburaki is put on the main flat pillars(59.8cm wide and 32cm deep), and Ryo and Keta are put on supporting flat pillars(22.7cm wide and deep) in back. The tips of Ryo come to the front and Deketa is put on them. There are magnificent family crest of Sakai family engraved on plate both side.

Side wall was also kept beside the gate and there is a small door on the wall. The main door is also made with zelkova trees and decorated with gold staff. The gargoyle which decorated as the Sakai family's crest is also kept and these are quite similar to the artefact from an excavation of Obama castle. It has a possibility that these were made in same place.

It is a precious building which shows the appearance of old days.
