The wisteria of Shinpukuji is placed beside the approach of Fudo-hall in the precincts of the temple. It is 18m in height, 13m wide in east-west and 17m wide in north-south. It is divided into two branches and furthermore, it became tangling and is extended like the tornado by using the big tree of TAMO as a support.

A wisteria of Nishidu Tsurihime shrine, specified to be the natural treasure of a country, has collapsed with the buildings in the typhoon in Showa 28, and it is only natural treasure of the wisteria in the Obama city.
