Five ancient tombs are located in the west side of JR Sinhirano station, in the middle of rice field. It is called "Nanatsuduka" and it is also possible to watch them from a train window.

Every piece is thought to be made in end of 6th century. It was first considered that all of them were round tombs, but according to the recent investigation, there can be a possiblity that No.4 and 5 tombs could be ancient Japanese tombs of a circular shape with a rectangular frontage. The first tomb is just beside a railway and the diameter is 9m. There is a second tomb cross over the railway, north side of the first one, it is called "Matsuduka". The diameter is 17.5m and 2.6m in height. The third tomb is in most north point and the diameter is 15m and 1.8m in height. The fourth one is in most west point and located in the middle of rice filed, the diameter is 12m and 1m in height. The fifth one is located in northeast of the fourth one and the diameter is 14m and 3.6m in height.

There is not any investigation for the main part held yet, thus no information of inside is known, but it seems that top of tombs were wore away. It is known that there is a stone room in the fifth tomb, but it is unknown for rest of them. There are many Haniwa around the tombs and also many piece of Haniwa, it is rare that this type of ancient tombs have Haniwa.

Keeping these ancient tombs was decided by local people, while soil enrichment was held. However, it was necessary to put the road near the third tomb, so the road was bent. It is worth of writing that "the curved road" is the symbol of these tombs.
