It is the statue of Kousanzemyoo which located right side of the main hall. It is not the server of anything at all.

It is said that Shingondarani has so strong power and it is the statue of Myoo part which describes the strong power. This form was transferred to Japan in Heian period.

The five Myoo or the eight Myoo, such as Fudomyoo, are the typical examples. Kousanzemyoo is the second important myoo as Touhouson(east). The five Myoo are Fudomyoo as the main and centre, Kousanze, Funsyari, Daiitoku and Kongouyasya. As locating Fudomyoo as centre, these 4 Myoo are located in North, south, east and west.

It is 252.4cm in height and stands on Daijizaiten and its wife "Uma".

It has four faces and eight hands. Hair stands like a fire. Each face has three eyes. It has the unique sign of Funnuken with two hands and other six hands have a bow, a mallet, an arrow, a pike and a stick.

It is interesting that it stands on Daijizaiten on left foot and its wife on right foot, comparing to Shitennou which stands on demons.

It is presumed to be made in end of 12th century.

The model of Kousanzemyoo is located on the Kodo of Toji in Kyoto.
