There are many camellias in the precincts of Shiraishi shrine, 1863.33 square meters, which is the Gegu of Wakasaichinomiya, beside the famous water place "Unose" where to take water to Nigatsudo in Nara. It is a forest when you drive beside the Onyu River. Crossing the Shiraishi Bridge, you will see other camellias enter of village.

You can say that there are only camellias in the precincts of Shiraishi shrine. The biggest one is that the circumference of a root is 4.3m, 12.3m in height and divided into two branches on 2.2m above, one branch is 1.4m and another is 1.55m and it becomes 12m wide in total. There are other big camellias, 8 trees over 1m, 5 trees over 50cm, more than 30 tree less 50cm. It is absolutely brilliant when these have flowers.

It is said that this forest used to last far to Unose, but it was separated when surveying landing was held in Toyotomi period.

There is a tablet of the stone of Haiku poet Seiko Yamaguchi.
