used to be 12 architectures and 16 hectare of rice fields given by the
dynasty, but today's main hall was built in the end of Edo period because
of fire twice.
It used to be a hidden statue until recently. It is presumed to be made

lasts more than one thousand years in Fukui prefecture.
It is a great work of 216 cm in height including the stage, 192.5 cm

The face is rather childish and a decoration of cloths is quite similar
to the statue of Yakushinyorai of Jingo temple. The simple eyes and slightly
smiled mouth are the special feature of this statue.
The decoration of clothes which engraving like the word of "U"
between both legs is the typical feature of Heian period.
It is also an old style that the width of body and stage is same. It
is one of the oldest statue existing in Wakasa province and tells the long
