This statue is located left side of the statue of Senjyukannon, the main object of worship in this temple, in the main hall of Myorakuji. The period of produce might have been more earlier than the main object, as old as the period of produce of the wooden statue of Kannonbosatsu which located right side of the main object.
Head and body parts were engraved from one piece of Hinoki tree and Uchiguri was not done at all. Knee part was connected to the belly part.
There is a lotus flower on its head and hair is tightened and comes on the right shoulder. Eyes are opened widely with angry face. The decoration of clothes was engraved deeply and it shows the typical feature of early stage of Heian period. The brilliant colouring is painted later, but there might be the original colouring under the surface.
There is a wooden seated statue of Fudomyoo in Jyozenji in Ooi town, but it is the precious statue in Wakasa province.
