This is the wooden statue of Jyuichimenkannon which used to be the main object of worship of Kouseiji. It is made with one piece of Hinoki tree. It is covered with gold paint on lacquer, thus its structure is unknown, but it is considered that head and body parts were made with one piece and hands were other pieces. The stage and lightings were made in Edo period.
It is considered that it was made in Kyoto in Heian period. It is the precious statue.
