Rokusainenbutsu in Nago, Obama-city are held by the Nago Rokusainenbutsu Preservation Meeting (let the manhood volunteer and child friend in an area be a main constituent) as a public event of an area from the early morning on August 14 to evening.
People of a preservation meeting gather in front of a Nagoku public hall at the time on which it agreed, they turn around one every house in an area at a time in order from door to door continuously involving the cemetery place (Hitojizomae, Sankai Manreitou mae, and others) at the start, and the holy place called Morinoshita, and the parishioner temple in an area (the main hall of Ryuunji Soutou sect and other buildings).
In these Rokusainenbutsu, there are that which a child takes charge of, and a thing which a manhood meeting volunteer takes charge of. Moreover, it is divided into what a gong (three - five persons) is struck and sings Sun to a Buddhist invocation in chorus with inside in a bundle drum, and the thing which those (three persons) who play the role of the drummer of them dance. Thus, there are three types of Kodomonamirokusai, Otonanamirokusai and Otonamairokusai. Children wear Yukata, fasten belts and Japanese sandals, and manhood meeting volunteers wear Yukata, fasten belts, and wears wooden clogs. It is continued changing each role.
The origin of this Rokusainenbutsu has been reported that because there were the epidemics having spread and many victims being sacrificed in an area, thus people started to calm this by it which learnt from the Ano area of crossing a mountain on.
It is precious as the only existing Rokusainenbutsu in Wakasa province.
