Chogenji |
|
It is said that the Chogenji was built by Nichigen priest in Koureki 2(1380). It used to be located on where Kuunji is now, but it is said that Motomitsu Takeda moved the temple as he built the Nochise castle.
According to the temple, this main gate was built in Jyokyo 4(1687). It is the Irimoyadukuri with tile-roofing. There are statues of Niozo in lower floor, and statues of Jyuurokurakan in upper floor. The lower floor is about 7.4m wide and about 4.1m deep, the upper floor is about 7.0m wide and about 3.8m deep. It is rather big gate in Wakasa province. There are fewer decorations. It is a Japanese style of Zen temple and stable gate. |
