There is the Nagi tree in the precincts of Kurokoma shrine in Nishisei Kado area in Obama city. The special feature of this tree is that the leeves are thick and shiny and doesn't have a main vein. It is called Chikarashiba. It places beside the approach and it is devided into two branches in 3m above on ground. The diameters of both branches are 1.7m. The branch of east side is 16m wide. According to a old man, it is about 600 years old, but it is still powerful. There is a hole near the root, people say that a god would stay in the hole.
There is another Nagi tree behind the shrine. It is rather small tree. They say that these two trees are the husband and the wife. A long time ago, the small tree was replaced in the castle of Sakai family. But the tree cried every night, thus it was returned to the village again. The server got angry and throws a stone so strongly. There is the stone in the trunk.
