The Sannouyashiro, located on right side of the foot of the mountain, is told that it would be built by Taicho holy priest. These statues are located both side of the hall, just beside the inner hall. The right side of statue is called Agyo( opened mouth), the left side of statue is called Ungyo( closed mouth)
These are engraved statue of 53.5cm in height and made with Hinoki trees. These used to be coloured, but as time passes, paintings have been peeled off and there are also many damages.
The Ears of Agyo are turned down, the ears of Ungyo stand up, eyes are opened widely and nearly come out. These are marvellous pieces which Moulding which hides silence in a gallant figure.
It may have been made in last stage of Heian period. There is no stage, even it is unknown whether it has a stage or not.
Komainu is the protecting animals usually located in shrine. It is also called "Shishi" or "Komainu" and there are some types of writings and its form.
