Jizobosatsu is the Buddha who save people in the period of 5,670 million years since Buddha passed away until Mirokubosatsu would come into this world. It was described as a woman priest and had been faithful among people. Especially it was popular among poor people because it would save the people who were not saved from Amidanyorai.
Its form is generally as a woman priest, having a holy jewel in the left hand and a stick in the right hand. In some drawings, it makes a sign of Raigei style.
It makes also a sing of Raigei style in this drawing and stands on lotus flowers on clouds.
Its face was influenced by the Chinese drawings, but the cloths were as usual. Colours are rather peeled off but still beautiful.
It is 106.1cm long and 39.7cm wide and is considered to be made in the period of North and South dynasties.
There is a drawing of Jizobosatsu which makes the same sign of Raigei style in Tokyo National Museum. Thus, there were many drawings which makes the sign of Raigei style at that time.
