It is the Seiunji located between the upper gate and the down gate of Jyoukouji. It used to be back of the Jyoukouji, on the foot of the mountain.
The origin is not known, but there is the name mentioned in "Wakasasyugodaiki" in Ouei 9(1402) and also the record that Yoshimitsu Ashikaga, the Shogun, visited in Ouei 14(1407).
There is a tower erected for the repose of Nobuchika Takeda's spirit in the precinct and his name after his death is Seiunjiden, thus it is not reliable that it was found in Bunmei 15(1483) as "Wakasagunkenshi" says.
This statue is located on the left side of the main hall and it is unknown what brought it to this temple.
It is 36.9cm in height, and head part is separated. Eyes are engraved and painted gold.
It is found that this statue was made in Eiban 1(1165) because of the notice inside of the statue.
