Shofukuji is told to be founded in Tenbun 1(1532) by Hisuihoshi and the main object of worship is the statue of Kannonbosatsu which has been strictly a hidden statue.
It is 99.6cm in height, made with one piece of Hinoki tree. Head and body parts are one piece including the left hand. The left wrist, the right hand, both legs are other parts. The lotus stage is put later.
It has round face, shallow engraved eyes, thin body, and the waist is slightly twisted on the left.
It was a nice sample which was made in countryside following the technique of one piece making.
