There is Choeiji which Souen found on the foot of mountain of Karadake. This stone pagoda is located behind the temple, so called forest of Gosho.
In Wakasakokushi, it says about the temple and the pagoda that it used to be called Goshoji and Gosho grave, there used to be a house which noble man lived, no one knows the origin of this temple.
It is granite and 172cm in height. Chirin is flat and old styled, Suirin is vase shaped, Kufurin is one piece of stone, there is a notice in Chirin but it is unable to read it.
This pagoda shows the Dainichinyorai in the world of Taizoukai.
The pagoda exteriorises the five major elements of everything composition to the ground, water, fire, a wind, and the sky for five ring form and it describes the truth of the universe. It become so common since Heian period and become the most popular in Kamakura period and it is presumed to be made in Kamakura period, as following the other common style.
