There is Taranosho manor area, famous for Toujihyakugoubunsho, 4km right bank of Kita River.
Shorinan which keeps the copper statue of Nyoirinkannnonhankazo is located on the foot of the mountain of Taranosho.
The statue is correctly called "Bosatsuhankazou" and is 33cm in height. It is said that it was made in 8th century. It was registered as former-National tresure, today's National Cultural Property in Taisho 7(1918). It is the oldest copper statue in this area and nothing exists in this prefecture as same one.
It sits on the plinth which modeled Syumizan, the right leg is bent and it puts on the left knee, and the left leg is lowered and steps on the flower of a lotus. It puts the right elbow on the knee, the fingertip hits against the light slouchy cheek and considers this world.
It has a rather big decorated crown. Its childish form shows the typical feature of Nara period. By casting depended on a wax mould, softness peculiar to a wax mould remains in the floral design of breast decoration, and elaborate can be told to it.
It was called as Jinbekannon in local. It is because that even though it was stolen 4 times, it has come back. Thus, people named this statue as the person's name, Jinbe Takashima, who got it back at first time.
