These are written on silk, painted Chinese ink, 99.3cm long and 56.5cm wide. It is said that these were written by Ganki, but there is no notice or sign.
These drawings have very few damages and are quite well-maintained.
Rakan means the rank of ascetic practices and is correctly called as Arakan. There would be Rakankoushiki held in Zen temples.
There is a paper inked Nenjyugyoji in the temple, according to it, it says that:
These drawings are the holy treasure in this temple written in China. In October 18th, 1530, 5 pieces were shown to pray for the Tsuneyori family, but one of them, 11th Ragorasonjya, was stolen. And next year, on January 16th, all pieces were shown for the service of Rakan, but one was still missing. Every one was worried about it. On March 4th, it was found under an accommodation floor. Someone should have stolen this drawing, and it is ashamed to be stolen.
