This statue is made with one piece of Hinoki tree and covered lacquer and eyes are engraved. It is 101.9cm in height and a stable statue, a breast is stretched, both legs are also thick and it has constructed massively, face is calm. It is considered to be made in early stage of 10th century and one of the oldest statue in Wakasa province.

Chokeiin is little far from the storehouse. According to the temple, it was found in Ouan 2(1369) as the branch temple of Kouseiji in Obama.
