The three-storied of pagoda was built in Bunei 7(1270) later than the main hall. Since then, it had been repaired a little in Tenbun 8(1539), repaired in large scale in Genroku 15(1702) and the roof had been with tiles since Meiji 27(1894) but it changed to be with the skin of Hinoki tress in Showa 32 as it had used to be.

Basement uses the natural stones and it is 22.12m in height and 17.46 square metres. The symbol of the tower, Sourin, is 6.92m long. It faces east but rather south.

All pillars are cylinders and the style of construction in every story is Japanese Mitesaki and ceilings of Kumiiri, it is a beautiful tower.

Inside of the tower, there is a Naijin where inside of four pillars and surrounding is Gaijin where outside of four pillars. The pillars in Naijin are with Nemakirengeza and ceilings of both Naijin and Gaijin are Oriage and coloured brilliantly.

The four pillars and wall paintings which divide Naijin and Gaijin were recoloured in Genroku.
