 There are many statues in Tadaji as the old temple as Myotsuji and Hagaji. It is one of the most valuable temple, as superior Sanzonzou and more than ten statue of Buddha, in Wakasa province.

 These statues are located as the guardian deities for the every corner of the main hall. According to the temple, it is said that these were made in Tenpeisyouhou of Nara period. Every pieces are coloured, but it is pity that these colours were painted later. However, the statues are superior works.

 Jikokuten who puts the right foot on Jyaki's head and also puts the left foot on Jyaki's waist, has a sword at the right hand and a fist of left hand is grasped tightly. The end of cloths shows the active spirit. It is 116 cm in height. It is pity that there is one staff missing.

 Zoucyoutenzou, raising the left hand with a sword and having a pike in the right hand, is 118 cm in height.

 Koumokutenzou, having a brush in the right hand and a roll in the left hand, is a typical form and the tallest of them as 123 cm in height.

 Tamokuten, having a small bronze pagoda in the left hand, is 115 cm in height.

 All of them are made thickly and old style. Thus, it is considered that these were made in the early stage of Heian period.

 The thickness is exaggerated more as these were simple and made in the country side.
