This wooden statue of holly Kannonbosatsu is placed in the main hall,
right side of the hall.
It used to be placed in Yakushi-hall which stands beside the mian hall.
However, it moved to the main hall in some reason.
It is 161.5 cm in height, engraved of one piece. After the repair work in Showa 31, this beautiful basement came to show under the old decoration of colouring. The face is rather small and a jaw is round and a right leg is rather loosened. But it expresses thickness and massive exactly. Especially the cloths is engraved so decoratively. It is presumed to be made in Heian period, 10th or 11th century.
